EVALUATION TOOLS: LIPOWSKY MINI MODULES
DS80C320 and SAB-C515 evaluation systems
The concept of mini modules: the compact series enable a very easy
access to the application design with microcontrollers. They are also
suitable for limited series production, as they have a complex
peripheral, a modular design, and can be enhanced. When designing the
modules, great importance was attached to the Plug & play capability
Immediately after switching - on and connection to the PC, the user has
access to all functions of the corresponding controller per BASIC
commands or programmes (optional C support) No additional hardware
architecture required: The peripherals on the board incorporate all
ressources (supply voltage, A/D converter, interface to the keyboard,
LCD display, etc.). Even the amateur unser will find an easy access to
the work with microcontrollers with this comprehensive documentation
including examples.
We offer complete starter kits for an cost-saving easy access to this
evaluation systems which consists of a mini module, assembled onto
Europe card carrier MBASE-EURO with socket for own hardware, optimised
BASIC evaluation software with all cables required and a power supply.
The Europe card is has a layout designed for relays, CAN bus drivers,
optocouplers, etc. (see fig. Delivery without relays). The starter kit
offers all advantages of the complete version, except for the fact, that
the BASIC programme can only consist of a maximum of 128 lines and the
mini module can only function in a PC. These restrictions can be
suspended with the purchase of a BASIC complete version.
Peripheral on both modules: 64k FLASH programme memory, 32k x 8 RAM
(with back-up), serial 2kbyte EEPROM, real time clock (with back-up),
LCD interface (direct connection of text displays, f.ex. LM16A21 by
Sharp), keyboard interface with up to 4x7 keys, serial interfaces.
MOD-320: Mini module with DALLAS DS80C320 CPU, assembled with 16 MHz
80C320 CPU (compatible to the standard 8051 CPUs, but considerably
faster because of the optimized internal procedures), 12 bit A/D
converter with 8 inputs, 2 serial interfaces with independant baud rate.
MOD-515: Mini module with SIEMENS SAB-C515 CPU, which have comprehensive
on-chip peripheral, such as CAN bus, PWM generator (4x16 bit) and A/D
converter (10 bit, 8 inputs).
Interfaces: 1 serial, 1 SPI (synchronous, serial), CAN bus.
